A TOOLKIT FOR WRITERS AND READERS
Behind Bill’s Hobby Shop Window
there’s
a silence
in
my voice…
i
feel
my mouth
moving…
forming
vowels
consonants
words…
even strung
into pretty
smoking Lionel trains…
that go
round
and
round…
through
fuzzy
green
paper
mache
mountains…
through
Main Street
USA…
past
itty-bitty
hand painted
people…
standing
at
red lights…
on
the streets…
in
The Town Station…
there i am…
damned
if not
waving…
i think
smiling…
then
round
again…
going
round
again…
never
ending…
behind
Bill’s
Hobby Shop window…
until
closing time…
when
the lights
turn off.
Until next time,
keep writing.
Peace,
Andres Castro
